THE POINT FORCE PRESS - MARCH 2026

As we roll into March and summer begins to draw to a close, We discuss the continued challenges facing the industry, say hello and goodbye to employees old and new, and celebrate the women of Point Force Group who continue to drive this company forward.

Australia's construction industry is facing one of its most significant challenges in years. Labour shortages have become the single biggest limiting factor for builders and contractors across the country, with demand for skilled and semi-skilled workers continuing to outpace supply. From residential builds to major infrastructure projects, sites are feeling the pressure through delayed timelines, increased costs, and the ongoing struggle to find reliable workers when and where they're needed most.
For workers, this creates real opportunity, but only if you're connected to the right people. And for builders and contractors, the difference between a project running on time or falling behind often comes down to having a dependable labour hire partner in your corner.
That's where Point Force Group comes in. We work closely with both our clients and our workforce to make sure the right people are on the right sites at the right time. Whether you're a tradie or labourer looking for consistent work or a builder needing to fill critical gaps on short notice, we're here to bridge that gap. In a market this tight, having Point Force Groupon your side isn't just convenient, it's a competitive advantage.

This International Women's Day, we want to take a moment to shine a light on the incredible women who are part of the Point Force Group family. Every day, you show up with skill, determination, and a drive to get the job done, and today, we want to make sure you know just how valued you are.
Construction has long been one of the most male-dominated industries in the world, but that story is changing, and women like ours are leading that charge. From site to office, from traffic control to operational management, the women of Point Force Group bring a perspective, a work ethic, and a standard of excellence that makes this entire organisation stronger.
We are proud to be building a culture of change, driven by women, where every woman feels seen, supported, and given the opportunity to grow. To every woman on our team; thank you for your resilience, your expertise, and everything you bring to Point Force Group each and every day. We are proud to have you pushing us forward.

After over 2 years with Point Force Group we say farewell to Recruitment Co-ordinator Harry as he begins his adventure travelling around Australia. Harry initially joined Point Force Group in 2023 as a labourer after arriving in Australia from the UK and after an opportunity arose, moved into the VIC office to later take on the role as Recruitment co-ordinator.
For the last two years, Harry has often been the first face our employees see when they join us, and he's represented the company exceptionally well. His personable nature, consistent effort, and willingness to go above and beyond have made him a pivotal part of Point Force Group's growth. Thank you, Harry.
Best of luck on your travels around Australia Harry, and we'll see you on the way back round.

Over the last month however, it hasn't just been farewells. We have also added some new additions to the office team, as we continue to grow and expand across VIC, NSW & QLD.

Following Harry's departure from the Melbourne office, we're pleased to introduce Stephen as our new Recruitment Co-ordinator. Stepping into one of the most important client-facing roles in the business, Stephen will be the first point of contact for new employees joining the Point Force team. First impressions matter, and we have every confidence that Stephen's personable approach and dedication will ensure every new sign-up feels welcomed and well looked after from day one. We're excited to have him on board and look forward to seeing him put his own stamp on the role. Welcome aboard, Stephen

As our New South Wales team continues to go from strength to strength, we are thrilled to welcome Evan to Point Force as our newest Recruitment Consultant. Evan brings with him a strong foundation of expertise that we believe will make an immediate impact as we continue to meet the growing demand for our services across the NSW market. With the state's construction sector showing no signs of slowing down, having the right people driving our recruitment efforts has never been more important. We're excited to have Evan on board and look forward to seeing him hit the ground running.
Each month we take a moment to recognise the individuals who have gone above and beyond for their team, their clients, and the people they work alongside every day. For February 2026, we are proud to shine a spotlight on two standout members of the Point Force team who have consistently demonstrated exactly what it means to represent this company at its best.

Luke recently completed his Telehandler course, adding another valuable skill to his belt and showing his commitment to professional growth. Having been with us for just over a year, Luke has already made a strong and positive impact on the team working on a client project on Toorak. Congratulations Luke, keep up the good work!

Congratulations to Teresa, our Point Force Traffic February team member of the month. She is currently smashing it on our Kew project, Teresa has earned nothing but praise from the entire site team. Her judgement on traffic management and site needs is trusted completely, she’s always kind and considerate to the neighbours, and never hesitates to roll up her sleeve, whether that’s helping with light labouring or keeping the street clean.

The 2026 Pearse's Sevens returned to Gaelic Park, Melbourne on Sunday 22nd February, with Pádraig Pearses once again playing host to one of the standout events on the Australasia Gaelic Games calendar. The annual one-day tournament brought together over 80 teams across the four codes from all corners of Australia, drawing thousands of spectators through the gates for a brilliant day of Gaelic Games.
We were proud to once again sponsor two participating clubs in this years event, Melbourne's St Kevins GAC & Sydney's Bondi Gaels.

For only the 3rd time ever St Kevin's proudly fielded teams in all four codes during the tournament. The hurlers, camógs and men's footballers were unlucky not to make it out of the group stages, but it was the ladies footballers who stole the show. They battled all the way to the final in an incredible display throughout the day, only to find themselves on the wrong side of a tense, score-for-score battle that went all the way to the new sudden death format.

Bondi Gaels brought both their mens and ladies football teams over, for the Melbourne tournament,The ladies got off to a strong start, defeating Southern Districts before producing an incredible performance against Eastern Celts, running out winners. Despite two wins, it wasn't enough to advance, with Morley Gaels edging them out on points difference.
The men's footballers also had a day to remember. After opening with a win over Greenwood GFC, they found themselves in a tense must-win clash against Young Irelands, with John Dunne's last-minute kick sealing a dramatic victory. They met their match in the semi-finals however, going down to Cormac McAnallens, who ultimately went on to claim the Sevens title.
A huge congratulations to every representative of both clubs who took to the field on the day. As proud sponsors of St Kevin's GAC and Bondi Gaels, moments like these are exactly why we love being involved. The Pearse's Sevens continues to be one of the great occasions on the Gaelic Games calendar, and it's a privilege to play even a small part in supporting the clubs and communities that make it so special. Roll on 2027!
